I was doing my chinese homework and just so happen managed to recycled a little of what I did for chinese in secondary school. I revisit the story of The Thorn Birds which I once wrote about as a newspaper reflection about 2 to 3 years ago and the story touched me once again.

A Poem about the Thorn Bird.

There's this legend about a Thorn Bird that sings only once.

Her voice is the most beautiful among any other living creature's voice on earth.

She searches for the thorn tree ever since she left her nest.

Till her wish is fulfilled,

She plunges her body towards the longest and sharpest thorn.

Between that wild branches she opens up her voice,

In her dying moments she transcends her pain.

This is an incomparably beautiful song, As a life exhaust.

However, as the whole world listen quietly, God gently smiled among the midst.

Because the best things can only be exchanged for with the most heartfelt pain.
